Application Process

1. Confirm the parcel is inside Dos Palos city limits and verify zoning or land-use constraints using the city's GIS and zoning resources.
2. Complete the City of Dos Palos building permit application with owner and contractor information, contractor license data, business license data, valuation, square footage, APN, occupancy or use, and planning review fields.

The application requires contractor license number, class, expiration date, a signed licensed-contractor declaration, and workers' compensation information. Contractors doing business in the city must also hold a city business license.

City Hall and Community Development hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Some pages also note phone availability from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Typical inspection sequence: The city publishes a reroof inspection sequence including deck inspection after removal of built-up roofing, nailing inspection after new plywood or OSB sheathing, final inspection after completion, and inspection of any roof-mounted equipment covered by the permit.
