When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Manitowoc
The city permit application and building inspection pages show permits are required for new dwellings, accessory structures, additions, interior and exterior alterations, roofing, siding, window and door replacement, and other regulated work as reflected on the application and handouts.

- All contractors and tradespeople working in the city must create a MyGov user account and complete a MyGov contractor registration. Local contractor registration is required and there is no charge for that registration.

- 04 Complete any contractor registration requirements.
