Town ordinance requires a building permit before construction, installation, remodeling, reconstruction, enlargement, alteration, removal, or demolition of any building or structure; structural changes and major mechanical extensions also require permits.

Building code

Town code creates and enforces the local building permit and zoning administration framework under Wisconsin UDC certification requirements.

Contractor requirements

Town ordinance requires a certified building inspector with UDC construction certification and assistant certifications for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.

   Submit the local town building permit before constructing, installing, remodeling, reconstructing, enlarging, altering, removing, or demolishing a building or structure in the town.
2. 02
   Obtain any other required state, county, sanitary, driveway, subdivision, or zoning approvals the ordinance says still apply.
3. 03
   Keep the building inspector sign-off sheet on site and obtain each successive inspection approval before continuing to the next stage.
