When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Cathlamet
Building permits are required for all structural modifications and new construction within Town of Cathlamet limits.
- Exempt Sidewalks, driveways, and patios at grade level
- Exempt Fences 6 feet high or less
- Exempt Decks less than 30 inches above grade and under 200 square feet in area
- Exempt Detached recreational structures without plumbing or conditioned air (e.g., simple storage shed)
- Exempt Non-structural maintenance and repair (painting, flooring replacement, cabinet replacement)
