When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Montpelier
No building addition or building system may be erected, installed, renovated, altered, wrecked, or moved prior to submission of a complete application and issuance of a permit. This includes but is not limited to new heating equipment, new electrical equipment, new gypsum wallboard, and new solar panels. All land development also requires a zoning permit unless specifically exempted.
