Application Process
- Obtain the Building Permit Packet from the Tropic Town Office ($50.00 fee) or download it from https://townoftropicut.gov/planning-zoning/.
- Contact Marie Niemann at the Tropic Town Office (435-679-8713) with any questions about your project prior to submitting.
- Submit the completed application to the Tropic Town Office. The Town Planning Commission and Town Council will review and approve the project.
- Upon receiving written notice of Town Council project approval, submit this approval letter along with the building permit application to the Garfield County Building Inspector.
- Provide evidence of approved culinary water supply and approved waste disposal method (required for permit issuance).
- Garfield County Building Inspector issues the permit.
- Pay applicable fees to the county.
- Post permit card on site; keep approved plans on site throughout construction.
- Schedule inspections with the county building inspector no less than two working days in advance.
