When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Orangeville
A building permit is required for all new construction and improvements. Specifically required: fencing, retaining walls, carports, gazebos, sheds, patios, and any re-roofing or re-shingling requires both a building permit and inspection under Utah Code. Zoning clearance is required before any permit is issued for structures within city limits.

- Exempt Window awnings supported by exterior wall
- Exempt Agricultural shade cloth structures
