When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Waller County

Rental communities also need a certificate of compliance after approval of the infrastructure development plan. Fire-code overlay applies to commercial establishments, public buildings, and multifamily residential structures of four or more units.
Note: Waller County does not enforce building codes in unincorporated areas for general construction. However, septic/OSSF, driveway, development, and fire-code overlay requirements still apply to covered projects.
