When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Pineland
Building permits are required for construction, alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use, occupancy, location, and maintenance of buildings and structures within city limits. Electrical permits are required before any installation, alteration, or removal of building wiring or electrical equipment. Floodplain development permits are required for development subject to the city's floodplain regulations. Manufactured-housing permits are required under Article 3.600.

- 01 Verify the parcel is inside Pineland city limits.

- 03 For general building work, submit the permit request through the city secretary/building code process.
- 04 For electrical work, obtain a written permit from the city secretary before any installation, alteration, or removal of building wiring. If performing electrical work as a business, first obtain the city electrician license and bond.
- 05 If the project is in a mapped special flood hazard area, submit a floodplain development permit application with plans in duplicate and floodplain information.
- 06 If placing a manufactured home, obtain a separate manufactured-housing permit.
- 07 Pay the applicable fee before work starts.
- 08 For electrical work, notify the city electrician upon completion for inspection and certificate of satisfactory inspection.
