When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Lubbock County
Permits are required for culverts or other structures placed within county right-of-way, utility installations crossing county rights-of-way, on-site sewage facilities (septic systems), and stormwater/floodplain-related work. A general countywide building-permit requirement for ordinary construction does not appear to be in effect in unincorporated Lubbock County.
Note: Agricultural building exemptions may apply in unincorporated areas. Verify with County Public Works before proceeding.
