When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Normangee
No HUD-code manufactured home may be located in the city without first obtaining a permit for use of a manufactured home as a dwelling. Mobile homes are prohibited, except lawful existing mobile homes already in place before the ordinance.

Application process
Typical processing: Manufactured-home permit applications: within five business days of receipt by the City Secretary
- 01 Verify that the parcel is inside the Normangee city limits and specifically in the Leon County portion if the tract is near the county line.
- 02 Determine whether the project is the placement of a HUD-code manufactured home or another project for which direct city confirmation is needed.
- 03 For a manufactured home, obtain the city's Application for Permit for Use of a Manufactured Home as a Dwelling.
- 04 Complete all fields on the application, including applicant information, exact location and legal description, year model, serial number, make, and size.
- 05 Submit the application, the $25.00 application fee, and photographs of the inside and outside of the manufactured home to the city.
- 06 Wait for city review. The permit form says applications will be approved or denied within five business days of receipt by the City Secretary.
- 07 If approved, obtain the permit before locating the manufactured home and comply with the city's site, skirting, tie-down, and utility-connection requirements.
- 08 If the parcel is in a flood hazard area, also coordinate with the city floodplain administrator before development begins.
