Clyde's Structural Standards Code states that no building or structure regulated by the code may be erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted, or demolished unless a separate permit has first been obtained in accordance with the applicable provisions of the building code.

Building code

Clyde's Structural Standards Code defines the building code as the International Residential Code as adopted in Texas Local Government Code Section 214.212 and such other codes of like character as may be adopted by the city council from time to time. The exact current edition number was not identified in the reviewed public materials.
