When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Anderson County
County permit controls are limited to specific programs including OSSF permits and development permits for residential homes, barns, barndominiums, and manufactured homes. No comprehensive countywide building-permit program equivalent to city-style departments was clearly documented.
Note: No public exempt-work list for unincorporated Anderson County was found. County controls are limited and permit-specific rather than based on a broad exempt-versus-nonexempt county building code.
