When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Fairview
Fairview states the Codes Department is responsible for issuance of building permits and inspections of construction projects. The city also requires detailed plot plans for building permit submissions.
- Exempt Standard permit exemptions under the adopted residential and building codes
Note: Fairview's adopted ICC codes contain standard permit exemptions unless locally amended. Public-facing Fairview pages reviewed did not publish a standalone exemption chart. Because Fairview uses separate permit categories for decks, pools, accessory structures, demolition, grading, and retaining walls, those items should not be assumed exempt without city confirmation.
