When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Mullins
Most construction work requires a permit. Exemptions: Interior finishing work including painting, flooring, and cabinetry

- Residential work over $500: State 'Residential Specialty Contractor' license required. General contractors performing work over $10,000: Must be licensed by South Carolina. Electrical, plumbing, gas, mechanical contractors: Both city business license and state credentials required. City of Mullins business license: Required for all contractors.
