When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Oakridge
If you are building a home or business, or adding onto one, Oakridge directs applicants to Planning Services and the statewide building permit portal.
- Exempt Detached one- and two-family dwellings
Note: Exempt work may still require local planning permits, grading permits, noise permits, or right-of-way permits. The city publishes separate excavation, grading, and right-of-way forms, so exemption from a building permit does not necessarily mean no permit is needed.
