When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Kingfisher County
No county building permit regime for ordinary work in unincorporated areas. Floodplain development in FEMA designated SFHA requires county floodplain compliance.
- Exempt Ordinary building work in the unincorporated area is effectively outside the county permit system because the county has no implemented building permit program.
- Exempt Floodplain development is not exempt if located in the FEMA special flood hazard area.
- Floodplain work requires whatever the floodplain administrator requests under the ordinance, including technical documents for elevations, drainage, or flood mitigation where applicable.

Application → plan check → issuance → inspection → final
