Permit triggers and exempt work for Four Oaks
Four Oaks publishes its own planning, zoning, and inspections department and inspection process for permitted work.

- An inspection must be scheduled within six months from the permit issue date or the permit expires and additional permit fees will be charged.

Application process
Application → plan check → issuance → inspection → final
- 01 Submit the permit application and approved plans through the town process.
- 02 Maintain an approved permit box on site with the orange permit card, approved site plan, and inspector copy of plans before requesting inspections.
- 03 Schedule inspections by email to the town before 3:00 p.m. for the next business day.
- 04 Complete required footing, foundation, rough-in, exterior, insulation, final, and related inspections as applicable.
- 05 Pay any permit, reinspection, or additional permit fees if the permit expires or the site is not inspection-ready.
