When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Niskayuna
Under Town Code Section 220-66B, no person may alter or add to an existing structure, construct a new structure or part thereof, or change the use of a building without a valid zoning and building permit. Examples include building permits, new buildings or lots, alterations or additions, swimming pools, sheds, detached garages, decks, and fences.
