Application Process

Submit the following documents: Application for Building Permit, property survey (survey of the lot showing actual location of the finished exterior wall is required before framing inspection to verify setbacks), copy of the Warranty Deed (proof of ownership), site plan with direction notation (north arrow, lot boundaries, setbacks, access, etc.), two sets of construction plans (floor plans, elevations indicating height of each side and roof pitch, sections, structural details), and performance deposit.
  4. Submit complete application package to Village Hall in person or as directed.
  5. Await village zoning review. Projects requiring Planning and Zoning Commission review are placed on the monthly agenda (first Thursday of the month, 5:00 PM).

  7. Once both village and CID permits are issued, post permits on the job site.
