City of Millville

A permit is required for all construction work within the City of Millville.

• Exempt Roof covering replacement (residential one/two family)
• Exempt Siding replacement (vinyl, wood, aluminum)
• Exempt Deck surface replacement (non-structural)
• Exempt Ordinary maintenance per N.J.A.C. 5:23-2.14

Note: Specific exemptions must be confirmed with Construction Office before proceeding. Structural components always require permits.

Permit validity

12 months from date of issuance or last approved inspection. Extensions may be granted.

Contractor requirements

Contractor licensing verification required. Zoning approval may be required before construction permit issuance.

   Complete UCC Construction Permit Application (UCC Form F100).

   Prepare applicable subcode technical sections.

   Prepare construction plans: two sets for residential, three sets for commercial.

   Prepare plot plan showing all structures, distances to lot lines, and easements.

   Email completed PDF applications to Rita.Henry@millvillenj.gov, fax to (856) 825-7401, or submit in person.

   Pay applicable permit fees upon permit issuance.

   Schedule and pass required inspections.

Typical processing time: 20 business days for plan review (per NJ UCC standards); varies by project type.
