When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Prentiss County
Building permits are required under Mississippi Code § 19-5-9 for: new construction of any building or structure in unincorporated areas; substantial renovations and additions; electrical, plumbing, and mechanical installations; septic/onsite wastewater system installation or repair (MSDH permit also required); demolition of structures; land-disturbing activities of 1+ acres (MDEQ stormwater permit also required).
