When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Choctaw County
New construction, additions, structural renovations, demolition, land development, septic systems, utility installations, and most projects involving building, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical work.
- Exempt Cosmetic work only (painting, flooring, cabinetry, minor repairs)
- Exempt Agricultural structures (exempt in many Mississippi counties; verify locally)
