  1. Download the Core Zoning Code Permit Application (the single unified building permit form) from newcastlemaine.us/core-zoning-code.
  2. Review the Core Zoning Code (last updated June 2024) to determine applicable standards and district.
  3. Complete application with required supporting documents.
  4. Submit to CEO Kara Stockton at 4 Pump Street or email ceo@newcastlemaine.us.
  5. CEO reviews application; the Core Zoning Code is designed to make standards clear and easily administered.
  6. Pay applicable permit fees (see Newcastle Fee Schedule).
  7. Permit issued; post at job site.
  8. Schedule any required inspections.
