When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Central City
Any new structure, addition, structural alteration, change of occupancy, or mechanical/electrical/plumbing work must be permitted through the county/local agency in line with the Kentucky Uniform Building Code.
Note: Limited exemptions include certain shop drawings (e.g., UL 710/710B Type I hoods) that skip some IMC details, but no complete local exempt-work list is published; confirm with the county inspector.
