When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Ekron
County ordinance forbids any building or exterior alteration without a building, electrical, or HVAC permit.

- 01 Assemble zoning/septic approvals, floor plans, site layout, deed/plat, and other attachments.
- 02 Complete the building permit application with owner, contractor, and project data.
- 03 Submit to MCPZ for review under the Kentucky Building Code and local zoning.
- 04 After approval, pay the emailed invoice, post the permit, and schedule inspections through the county office (call at least one day ahead; no same-day inspections).
