When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Marion County
All residential, commercial, and industrial structures or alterations must obtain a permit through the county building office under the Kentucky Building Code.

- 03 Arrange mandatory inspections (footing, rough-in, final) with the inspector.
- 04 Keep construction exposed until each inspection is approved per Kentucky Building Code §109.1.
