Permit triggers and exempt work for Angola city
Building construction permits are issued for Class 1 and Class 2 structures; substantial interior or exterior remodeling also requires permits; the city also lists permits for signs, decks, accessory structures, swimming pools, flammable liquid tanks, fire alarm and sprinkler work, foundations, and raze/demo

Application process
Application → plan check → issuance → inspection → final
- 01 Open the Building Safety Department page and select the applicable permit packet or form.
- 02 Assemble the permit packet, site information, and supporting documents required by the city packet.
- 03 Submit to the Building Safety Department for review.
- 04 The city reviews building, zoning, stormwater, and code compliance as applicable.
- 05 Pay fees and receive the permit before work starts.
