When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Jasper County

Application process
Application → plan check → issuance → inspection → final
- 01 Obtain permit forms from the Building Commissioner / county office.
- 02 Submit permit application before beginning new construction or regulated alteration/repair.
- 03 Include required drawings, plans, and specifications with the application.
- 04 Pay the required fees before issuance.
- 05 Permit is reviewed and issued by the Building Commissioner.
- 06 Begin work only after permit issuance and post the permit on site.
- 07 Request required inspections during construction.
- 08 Obtain final approval and, where applicable, certificate of occupancy.
