Permit triggers and exempt work for Cambridge
A building permit is required for any and all new structures regardless of size or square footage, remodeling and alterations, and fences over 6 feet in height.
- Exempt Maintenance and repairs not requiring structural modification
- Exempt Roofing replacement
- Exempt Siding replacement
- Exempt Window and door replacement with preexisting openings
- Exempt One-story temporary detached accessory structures not exceeding 200 sq ft (sheds, playhouses, etc.)
