When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Heard County
All building application packets must be completed before a building permit is issued. Permit categories include site-built homes, manufactured/modular homes, accessory permits, demolition, driveway, electrical, HVAC, and swimming pools

- 04 The department reviews building applications for compliance and conducts inspections
- 05 Pay the applicable valuation-based or flat trade fee and receive the permit from the Building & Zoning Office
