Permit triggers and exempt work for Greene County

Application process

- 01 Confirm the parcel is in unincorporated Greene County and request any needed address assignment through the county.

- 03 Submit the completed application packet, required licenses, site plan, and building plans. The county packet requires one hard copy and one PDF version for the listed plan sets, plus septic approval or sewer proof as applicable.
- 04 The county reviews the site plan first. After site-plan approval, the county issues the land disturbance permit and requires payment at pickup.
- 05 After the land disturbance permit is picked up and posted, the building permit review proceeds. Payment is collected when the building permit is issued.
- 06 Post the green permit card at the driveway entrance and request inspections through the county during construction.
