   Use Longwood's permit package requirements, tutorials, and SmartGov portal to identify the correct permit type and assemble a complete package.

   Submit digitally through SmartGov, or submit hard-copy documents for city scanning if you are not using the digital process.

   Monitor SmartGov for comments and status updates, or respond to comments by returning revised hard copies or emailing revisions to building@longwoodfl.org if the city allows that method.

   Pay applicable fees and obtain issuance.

   Complete finals and obtain CO or other closeout approval where required.

Scheduling deadline

Inspection requests must be called in by 3:30 p.m. on the business day prior to the desired inspection.

Digital inspections by Zoom are offered for certain qualifying residential inspection types.
