When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Hendry County
Building permits are required for new construction, additions, remodels, renovations, service-equipment changeouts, and construction in general.
Note: Florida code exemptions do not waive zoning, health department, driveway, floodplain, or other county approvals that may still apply. Agricultural exemption requests are handled through county-specific affidavit review. Applicants should contact the county to verify exemption status.
