Permit validity
Each building permit expires 1 year after issue; renewals may be granted if substantial work has begun.
Owner-builder
The application requires a recorded deed when an unlicensed owner is acting as contractor.
Contractor requirements
Contractor, foundation, framing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and roofing contractor fields are captured on the application. The town says it permits all work within the town and no longer requires DORA permits for plumbing and electrical work inside town limits.
