When a permit is required
Permit triggers and exempt work for Marysville
Marysville adopts the California Building Code framework through Title 13.04 and requires permit processing for construction work unless specifically exempted. City code enforcement materials also list construction without a building permit as a violation.
- Exempt One-story detached accessory buildings such as tool sheds, storage sheds, playhouses, and similar uses under 120 square feet, not over 8 feet high, and meeting required setbacks
- Exempt Fences 7 feet high or less
