Application Process
- Download the Building Packet or appropriate application form from the city website Forms page.

- Submit application to Tia Channell via email (tchannell@cityofraymond.com) or in person at City Hall.
- Pay applicable fees in person or via InvoiceCloud online portal at time of submittal.
- Building Inspector schedules review of submitted materials.
- Schedule required inspections through Tia Channell during business hours (Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM).
- Complete all required inspections before proceeding to next phase.
- Receive final approval; structure may not be occupied until final inspection sign-off.

Work That Does NOT Require a Permit
- Fences 6 feet or shorter in height
- Sheds and outbuildings 10 feet by 12 feet or smaller, with no permanent foundation, plumbing, or electrical connections
- Residential re-roofing
- Woodstove or heat pump installations (Mechanical Permit required)
Important: Commercial re-roofing or roofing affecting the structural integrity of a building requires a permit. Confirm edge cases with the Building and Development Division before proceeding.
