Application Process

  1. Submit the town Zoning Approval Request form before filing any county building permit application.
  2. Include all required supporting documents and pay the town zoning approval fee.
  3. Allow the town Zoning Administrator to review and issue zoning approval.
  4. After zoning approval, file the building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or other permit with Prince William County through the county permit system.
  5. Follow county review, fee payment, permit issuance, and inspection scheduling steps.

General Requirements

All work in town that requires a permit from Prince William County must first receive town zoning approval. The town page expressly includes construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and similar county-issued permits.
