Application Process

  1. Review the permit application instructions for the specific permit type on the building department page
  2. Log in to the Builder Account on City Inspect to begin a new application
  3. Complete all required permit fields and upload PDF plan sets and supporting documents
  4. For new commercial and new single family permits, the city uses a packet review process where all departments review in parallel
  5. Monitor comments in the portal, correct documents when the application is returned for updates, and resubmit
  6. When all review tabs are green, the application moves to pending, fees become available, and the permit can be issued after payment
  7. Request inspections through the Builder Account; next-day requests must be entered by 3 pm
