Application Process
- Create a CityInspect account or log in at Midway's permit portal.
- Prepare all permit plans and supporting documents as PDF files.
- Upload a required plan review deposit receipt before submittal.
- Submit the permit package electronically. Midway states incomplete applications are returned for correction before acceptance.
- Track review and respond to any requested corrections or additional materials.
- After approval, receive the permit card and keep city-approved plans on site for inspections.

Midway's code states any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish, change occupancy, or regulated electrical, gas, mechanical, or plumbing work must first apply and obtain the required permit.

- Water tanks directly on grade up to 5,000 gallons with height-to-diameter or width ratio not over 2 to 1
- Sidewalks and driveways
- Painting, papering, tiling, carpeting, cabinets, countertops, and similar finish work
- Prefabricated swimming pools less than 24 inches deep
- Swings and other playground equipment
