Application Process

  1. Download the Henefer building permit materials and review the checklist.
  2. Submit the building permit application with the $200 nonrefundable application fee.
  3. Provide two sets of construction drawings, two copies of the site plan, grading and drainage materials, property information, and other required supporting documents.
  4. Obtain required agency approvals, including septic or utility approvals and town council water and sewer connection approval when applicable.
  5. Stake property corners and keep stakes in place through construction.
  6. After review and approval, receive the permit and keep approved plans onsite.
  7. Schedule inspections with the building inspector and complete final approvals.

  • Painting, papering, and similar finish work
  • Temporary motion picture, television, and theater stage sets and scenery
  • Window awning supported by an exterior wall
  • Prefabricated swimming pool with 5,000 gallon capacity or less
