General Requirements
Building permits are required for plumbing, HVAC/mechanical, electrical work, new irrigation systems, swimming pools, hot tubs, driveways, sidewalks, foundation repair, decks, accessory buildings, fences, carports, covered patios, roofs, retaining walls, and remodels involving sheetrock removal with framing changes.
