Application Process

  1. Contact the Township if needed to confirm whether a permit is required for the proposed work.
  2. Download and complete the residential or commercial permit application and plot plan packet.
  3. Submit the application with construction cost, property information, contractor details, plot plan, and any York County Conservation District acknowledgement required for NPDES-covered work.
  4. Township plan review proceeds; the residential application states plan review may take up to 15 business days.
  5. Pay applicable review and permit fees and obtain the permit before starting work; the application states permits are not issued after 3:30 p.m.
  6. Schedule inspections with the Township and complete final closeout and any certificate of occupancy/use requirements.
