Application Process

1. Review the borough's permit and application resources and confirm scope with the Code Enforcement/Zoning Officer.
2. Prepare the building permit application and supporting materials.
3. Submit the application to Zelienople Borough Building, Zoning and Code Enforcement Office, Second Floor, 111 W. New Castle Street, Zelienople.
4. Borough staff and CEA review the application for zoning and building code compliance.
5. The borough notifies the applicant when the permit is approved, the cost of the permit, and when it is ready for pickup.
6. Pay fees at issuance. The borough states it does not accept checks or money in advance of issuing building, occupancy, sign, fence, shed, or electrical permits.
7. Follow the inspection directions provided with the approved permit and complete required inspections.
