Application Process

  1. Contact Center Township or Kraft Municipal Group and confirm the permit type and required packet.
  2. Submit the completed application, application fee, and supporting documents including drawings and workers compensation documentation.
  3. For residential projects, Kraft states the building inspector has a three-week review period; for non-residential projects, six weeks is allotted.
  4. After approval, the applicant is contacted to pick up the permit and pay the balance due.
  5. At pickup, the applicant signs permit copies and receives the inspection checklist for the project.
  6. Do not begin construction until the approved permit is issued and paid.
  7. Complete required inspections and final closeout within the permit term.
