Application Process
- Determine whether the project needs Town zoning approval. Yadkinville states accessory structures, including metal or portable carports and sheds, must receive a permit before construction or placement.

General Requirements

- Mailboxes, newspaper boxes, birdhouses, flag poles, pump covers, and doghouses
- Interior alterations and renovations that do not alter footprint, elevation, height, or use of an otherwise conforming use or structure
- State building-permit exemption work under N.C.G.S. 160D-1110(c) for qualifying work costing $40,000 or less in a single-family residence, farm building, or commercial building when the work does not involve load-bearing structural work, plumbing design changes, HVAC or electrical design changes, prohibited materials, new roofing, or Fire Code-triggered changes
