The Town of Hawthorne does not maintain a separate building department; all permits (including properties within Hawthorne town limits) are issued by the Mineral County Building Department. The Hawthorne Army Depot operates under federal jurisdiction with separate permitting. Confirm your address is outside the depot boundaries before assuming standard county permit authority.

Nevada State Contractors Board (NSCB)

All contractors working in Mineral County must be licensed by the Nevada State Contractors Board.
