Obtain a building permit application form from the Village Clerk at 357 E. Lockhart Street.
Complete the application and attach plans and specifications in duplicate showing the work to be done.
Submit completed application to the Village Clerk along with the applicable permit fee.
Pay an additional $25 plan inspection/approval fee to the Building Inspector at time of application.
Permit is reviewed and issued by the Village Clerk/Building Official.
Post permit on job site.

Pass all required inspections.

General Requirements

It is unlawful to construct or alter any building or structure in the Village (except fences) when the value of the construction exceeds $500 AND the effect of such construction or alteration is to enlarge the capacity or affect the bearing walls of any building or the roof thereof, or to alter any existing fire wall.
