  1. Read the city online permitting instructions and create a CitizenServe account.
  2. Upload plans, supporting documents, identification, contractor license, and business license to the application.
  3. Submit the permit request through the city online portal.

  6. Receive the electronic permit and approved plans by email for on-site printing.

New construction uses ICC valuation chart multiplied by 0.0065; residential renovation/addition/repair is $6 per $1,000 of value of work. Many miscellaneous permit types use flat fees.
Reinspection fee
First reinspection $25, second $50, third and additional $100; working without valid permit doubles permit fee
Payment note
City accepts all applications and payments through the online portal and no longer accepts inspection requests by email, text, or phone.
