Application Process

1. Create a Cloudpermit account and start the correct permit application.
2. Upload all plans digitally through Cloudpermit. Digital submittal is required for plan review applicants.
3. Submit all supporting documentation required for the project scope and city review.
4. City staff reviews the submittal for building, fire, and development requirements.
5. Pay fees once invoiced.
6. After issuance, use Cloudpermit to schedule inspections and obtain final approvals or a certificate of occupancy.

Minimum permit fee

$50 for one- and two-family dwellings; $100 for multi-family and non-residential

Plan check fee

Commercial building plan review is one-half of the permit fee; residential plan review is $50

Permit fee formula

Building permit fees use the current ICC Building Valuation Data with a city multiplier of 0.0065. Commercial tenant permits are $0.15 per square foot of space utilized.

Reinspection fee

First reinspection $0, second reinspection $150, third and later reinspections $200

Penalty (no permit)

Building permit fees may be doubled if work starts before permitting
